Maintenance Supervisor $35-$40/Hr

Express Employment is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor. 

Hours: Full time, 40-hour work week

Pay: $35-$40/hr

Work Location: Oroville, CA

Job Description:

• Install equipment, machines, motors, or parts to specification.
• Operations Monitoring- watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Repair machines or systems using the needed tools.
• Troubleshooting- determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it.
• Able to read and decipher equipment operating manuals for repairs, parts ordering, and troubleshooting. Coordinate and lead maintenance projects in various departments.
• Supervise maintenance personnel by providing direction and establishing priorities.
• Provide and seek out training and continuous development for maintenance personnel.
• Complete and deliver performance evaluations on direct reports at least annually.
• Maintain quality of work standards.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through scheduled inspection and repair.
• Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
• Implement, interpret, and enforce workplace safety policies and standards within department in conjunction with Safety Manager.
• Communicate with staff & Operations Manager daily regarding schedule, key performance indicators (KPI), food safety, or safety issues.
• Supervisory responsibilities include monitoring employee performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. 

Requirements:

• Comply with all Facility, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.  
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Procedures.
• Participate in the yearly review of the food safety system.
• Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.
• Must have a hands-on work ethic
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
• Must have organizational skills.
• Must have basic reading, writing and math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; data bases and word processing
• Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products and processes
• Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills 

Experience:

• Two (2) years of maintenance operations in a food manufacturing environment.
• Prefer at least two (2) years of millwright experience.
• Experience in rice milling preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience of industrial maintenance and mechanical maintenance.
• Two (2) years or more of supervisory experience desired.
