SUMMARY: This position coordinates all daily activities of the facility maintenance teams. This position is responsible for directing and executing all work order requests and overseeing the maintenance of the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, executing and supporting all Quality programs that ensure the production of Safe, Quality Foods.
- Directs equipment maintenance such as preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of various types of equipment completed by maintenance staff.
- Develops preventative maintenance program including tracking and documenting the program, assigning and distributing work to the maintenance mechanics, reviewing scope and frequency of assignments, making changes where required
- Determines preventive work order timing based on work order history, repair history, mechanic and manufacturing recommendations and other failure detection methods and devices.
- Identifies resources and materials required to execute the requested work. Verifies the availability of those resources prior to scheduling the work or arranges for appropriate alternatives.
- Estimates job requirements for preventative maintenance activities including number/type of maintenance staff to be assigned and number of man-hours per task and then enters and maintains this information in the CMMS system.
- Attends daily/weekly meetings with facility leadership to develop the next day/week's schedule, reviews the status of scheduled work orders, and discusses new, incoming work orders.
- May identify opportunities to improve process, planning or performance through analysis of work order flow, project demands and expectations.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Provides leadership in company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
- Maintain and ensure the safety of all employees through proper training, enforcement of safety rules and following proper procedures.
- Effectively cooperate with direct supervision as well as maintain professional and cooperative relationships across all levels within the Company.
- Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Qualified candidates must have at least a High School Diploma or equivalency. Some college coursework is preferred and mechanical vocational training is a plus.
Experience: 2-5 years demonstrated Supervision in a Maintenance Manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computerized Maintenance Management System or equivalent platform.
Strong verbal and written communication skills

RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to Maintenance Manager
- Works closely with maintenance mechanics, facility leadership, Facility Maintenance Inventory Control and other shop floor employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, use hands and fingers and climb stairs. This job requires the employee to be able to read, write and communicate orally in English. The employee must be able to hear and have color vision.
