The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to lead and improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Lift Stations department.
The Maintenance Supervisorearns a competitive salary of $28.95 - 31.34/hourly based on qualifications. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
- Oversees the operation, repair and maintenance of wastewater plants and storm water pumping stations.
- Oversees the wastewater maintenance crew, includes providing daily work orders, managing monthly schedules, ensuring safety, training, monitoring operations, and providing performance reviews.
- Inspects all wastewater plants to ensure compliance with State requirements and to ensure in proper working order to prevent and eliminate any potential hazards to the public or the environment from unauthorized wastewater discharges to public streets and drainage system.
- Prepares and manages division budget; participates in budget planning; monitors and controls expenditures for division.
- Assist in preparation and implementation of wastewater plants capital improvement projects to ensure the longevity of existing and future lift stations.
- Maintain and provide daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and reporting.
- Respond and assist, as needed, to collection system and wastewater treatment facilities issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School graduation/GED equivalent
- Minimum 4 years wastewater treatment plant maintenance operations and/or wastewater operations or closely related experience.
- Preferred, TCEQ Collections II license.
- Preferred TCEQ Wastewater C license
