ABOUT THE ROLE . . .
Implement, lead, and manage maintenance team, repairs, and scheduled maintenance activities to assist production in meeting its objectives by reducing equipment failures and non-productive downtime. Approximately 70% of the work is on the floor with your team. Develop, train and motivate Electrical Maintenance Techs to meet all maintenance requirements. Our Electrical Maintenance Techs maintain, troubleshoot, and update all plant equipment. This includes both mechanical and electrical machine maintenance and repairs. This job requires a strong electrical background and the leadership bandwidth, experience, capability, and desire to advance into potential future management opportunities. We prefer experience in a steel foundry and/or industrial manufacturing facility.
- Lead a team of electrical technicians and oversee their daily activities
- Develop, plan and schedule electrical maintenance and repair tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical guidance to resolve them
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventive measures
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects
- Manage inventory of electrical supplies and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports as needed
EXPERIENCE WE NEED FROM YOU . . .
- 7 years or more industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance leadership experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Read ladder logic and electrical prints
- Knowledge of the NEC
- Conveyors and large moving equipment exposure a plus
- Knowledge of piping, hydraulics and welding.
- Troubleshooting ability.
