The estimated base salary range for this role is "$65,000.00 to $97,000.00" per year.
Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is accountable for effectively planning and scheduling maintenance work to maintain assets at full functionality. This includes the basic fundamentals of maintenance planning and scheduling as outlined below in "Essential Duties and Responsibilities". This is to be done while meeting commitments for operating results and budgets.
The planner has additional accountability to develop more detailed and complex PMs and job plans that require advanced technical understanding and fundamental process knowledge. These are tasks typically coordinated by engineering or other technical resources.
The focus is to use the functionality of SAP PM and the Maintenance Business Processes to drive prevention and full functionality. Full functionality relates to maintaining the assets to standards required to ensure high reliability as measured by process capability measures. This requires high discipline in the business processes, a detailed understanding of the manufacturing process, the application of fundamental craft skills, and an understanding of basic engineering fundamentals. This work must be highly aligned with the production organization's objectives for process capability, scrap, throughput, and costs.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating the activities of outside contractors and directly managing multiple contractors on scheduled shutdowns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Basic Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
  • Move notifications to fully planned work orders
  • Identify special equipment requirements and safety precautions
  • Order and kit materials
  • Coordinate weekly and down day plans and schedules
  • Document bill of materials
  • Update PM content and frequencies
  • Auditing work to ensure it is completed to standards defined in the job plan
  • Maintain accurate work order backlog

Advanced Maintenance Planning
  • Improve PM Master Job Plan quality in terms of content and measurable standards that ensure reliability and process capability.
  • Develop detailed Master Job Plans for critical repairs - creates a library of critical job plans to ensure the effective execution of tasks and improve planning efficiency.
  • Handle complex work requests that require the application of basic engineering fundamentals
  • Analyze equipment history and cost information to drive improvements to operating results at lower maintenance costs.

Operating Discipline and Process Improvement
  • Follow the defined maintenance business processes and the SAP PM system structure
  • Keep records and SAP data accurate and orderly for high-quality histories and usefulness in data analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
  • Participate in and facilitate process improvement initiatives that support operating results and cost improvement.
  • Meet commitments for operating results and budgets. This includes maintenance costs, services outside firms, and rental and store working capital. This also includes direct and period costs related to labor, materials, and energy driven by process reliability and capability.
  • Required to coordinate activities
  • of contractors and craftsmen on down days and major outages
  • Backup to Maintenance Supervisor in his/her absence.

Qualifications:

  • Computer proficiency in SAP PM, Excel, and Word, Fiori preferred
  • Demonstration of a technical application of advanced craft skills and basic engineering fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of predictive maintenance technologies including; vibrations analysis, acoustics, infrared, and motor circuit analysis is required.
  • Effective writing and data organization skills.
  • Facilitation and meeting management skills
  • Green Belt certification is desired and a long-term expectation

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience and 3 years of maintenance planning required
