We are seeking a Maintenance Plannerto join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the maintenance planning and scheduling requirements for assigned facilities.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, develop and engage the maintenance planning staff to meet the needs of the work section
- Ensure safe working conditions for all associates
- Schedule routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assets
- Provide technical planning and scheduling support for maintenance activities
- Provide data and information for budget preparation, tracking, and analysis
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental and safety requirements
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: BS Degree OR comparable technical training within the mechanical and/or electrical crafts
Experience Requirements
- Understanding of standard software applications
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies
- Strong mechanical skills
- Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
Experience Preferred
- 5 - 7 years of previous maintenance planning experience
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
- Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
