Waterloo, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Waterloo, Iowa. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan and schedule the ongoing maintenance and preventive maintenance for all of the plant equipment, as well as the building and facilities. Receive maintenance requests, then prioritize, plan, and assign duties to various plant skilled trades personnel, such as mechanics, toolmakers, pipe fitters, tool grinders, and machine hands. May order and purchase the parts and materials necessary to complete maintenance and repairs.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:

• Initiate spare part determinations and setups for new and existing production and facilities equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors on reoccurring and non-reoccurring activities.
• Participate and/or lead projects and project planning in coordination across functional groups to support the maintenance and operation of facilities and equipment.
• Receive maintenance requests from throughout the facility. Prioritize, plan, and occasionally assign jobs to non-skilled, semi-skilled and/or skilled maintenance personnel to repair or perform preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment.
• Provide technical support to skilled trades, to include acquiring drawings, reviewing proper procedures, identifying parts, equipment, and tools.
• Identify sources, secure quotes and issues purchase orders for repair and spare parts, and other materials and services required to support maintenance activities.
• Generate various reports as needed.
• Track crib and self-help stock usage and inventory levels in order to maintain reasonable levels of inventory and support cost reduction efforts.
• Coordinate the creation and updating of preventative maintenance report to support improved machine uptime as well as OSHA and ANSI standards.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years experience with using Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft tools.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing and/or operations experience.
• 1-3 years of previous work experience in one of the following areas: electronics, mechanical or hydraulic.
• Computer systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following systems: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical.
• Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, safety, ergonomics, tooling, tool design and layout of facilities.
• Understanding of machinery, assembly line and maintenance and how these processes interact with each other.
