The Maintenance position at Andy Mast Greenhouses requires some general knowledge of basic HVAC, plumbing basics, basic electrical knowledge, & basic carpentry. Our business is modeled after an assembly line manufacturing facility, but the difference between our company and others is that we produce beautiful living plants. In our facility we have lots of technology and automation including soil mixing equipment, shipping and sorting lines, booms, and other irrigation machines. The Maintenance is a key member of a team that is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and building greenhouse structures and equipment. The goal is to keep our facilities operating safely and efficiently. They will be asked to complete various tasks and work under the mentorship of our current facilities coordinator, inside our greenhouse facilities. Maintenance Essential Responsibilities:

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Interfaces with other departments.
• Follows standard OSHA, EPA and Company safe practices on all work assignments.
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings.
• May be asked to train other employees
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Performs other assignments as required.
• Responsible to manage waste generated from any work that is performed.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma/GED and 3+ years maintenance experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in a related field OR
• High school diploma/GED and 2-year technical school & 3+ years’ experience

Required Skills/Competencies:

• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Project Leader experiences a plus.
• Proven Communications Skills
• Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required.
• Proven Electro/Mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical.
• Ability to follow Safe Work Practices.
• Ability to work independently with no supervision.
• Capable of troubleshooting to the systems level.
• Full knowledge of all PM’s
• Responsible for adherence to all safety procedures, good housekeeping standards, and the wearing of PPE.
• Low voltage experience is a plus

Maintenance Physical Requirements:

• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 10 hours per day
• Will climb ladders on an occasional basis
• Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a regular basis
• Will lift greater than 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)

Estimated Salary Range:

• $24 - $30/hr based on experience

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
