I. Job Summary
Maintenance is responsible for engaging in the work and activities that repair and maintain all the facilities. Performing preventive maintenance work that could involve the use and operation of complex and highly technical equipment and techniques.
II. Essential Job Functions
Job Activities
· Promotes guest, patron, owner and employee safety and security through strict adherence to Facility Security and Safety policies and procedures. Eliminates hazards and/or safety violations. Knows and is able to teach the proper shut-down and start-up procedures for all utilities. Has a thorough knowledge of the fire suppression systems and the fire/emergency alarm systems.
· Is knowledgeable about all major and emergency equipment locations and their functions including Life and Property systems (fire detection, fire suppression, emergency generator, departmental fire drill/response procedures, emergency HVAC operation, gas and water shut off valves, main electrical disconnects, etc.).
· Completes Preventive Maintenance work, including the monitoring, control, and performance of scheduled P.M. on all systems. Reports any damage or malfunctioning of equipment. Responsible for PPE (personal protection equipment) use and daily maintenance.
· Assures the maintenance of a working parts inventory of all parts needed for the department. Has knowledge of vendor and pricing policies & procedures. Maintains and controls the Tool Inventory to include proper securing, storage and training in the proper use and function.
· Maintains open and professional communication between management and staff. Follows procedures in the use and maintenance of all communication equipment and devices.
· Conducts routine inventory of equipment and tools used by facility department. Troubleshoots equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
· Completes AM/PM checklists daily. All activities, work, actions, and time are documented, in writing, daily.
· Performs other job-related duties as directed.

IV. Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a restaurant/hotel/resort or directly related industrial or facility maintenance.
· Proven leadership skills.
· Be an Expert and have “Journeyman” certifications in two or more Facility Engineering disciplines and proficiency in all other aspects of Facility maintenance, as directed by management.
· Must possess good communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with a variety of people.
· Basic computer knowledge and skills
· The ability and experience to safely use power equipment and hand tools necessary to accomplish repairs and maintenance work.
· Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions and to lift, carry, push, and/or pull a variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
· Physically capable of performing rigorous tasks including working from ladders, working beneath equipment, and in various conditions and settings are required for the normal performance of assigned tasks.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
· The engineer must have current certifications and/or credentials to perform their specialty skills and discipline, such as a CFC, etc. credentials.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
