Maintenance Operator - Parks & Grounds

The Town of South Hill currently has a job opening for a Maintenance Operator within the Parks & Grounds Department. Must have a valid Virginia Driver's License, acceptable DMV record and reliable transportation to get to work everyday.

Primary responsibilities are to assist in the maintenance of the Town's Parks, cemeteries and other grounds. Job duties include but are not limited to: mowing, loading/unloading dirt, mulch, gravel and other materials, maintain ball fields, tennis and basketball courts. Ensure the park play areas and restrooms are clean and safe, and other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work weekends and evenings when needed. Experience preferred in park and recreational maintenance or similar work experience.
