A prominent mining company is on the lookout for a Maintenance Millwright to join their team. The role requires a candidate with substantial experience in industrial maintenance, particularly in millwright work within the mining or related sectors.
Position Summary:
- Assist in maintaining and repairing facility equipment and machinery.
- Focus on optimizing processing and minimizing equipment downtime through predictive maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all planning and execution of duties.
- Comply with safety best practices like lockout/tagout procedures and confined space entry.
- Participate in on-call rotations with the maintenance team.
- Work standard daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Conduct mechanical repairs and installations, including handling various process equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (greasing, oiling, filter changes, equipment inspections).
- Document and manage preventive maintenance records and work orders.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Engage in welding, torching, grinding, and fabrication tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Operate various mobile equipment like skid steers, forklifts, lifts, loaders, and trucks.
- Handle building and minor electrical repairs.
- Undertake other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Preferably 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing).
- High school diploma, GED, technical training, or equivalent maintenance experience.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in process work orders, math, and measuring.
- Completed MSHA training.
