Rapidly growing Rosedale, MD food packaging company seeks experienced, detail-oriented Production Mechanic for our 2nd shift operations (12pm-8:30pm). Must be willing to train on 1st shift (5:45am-2:30pm).
1) Experience/familiarity necessary with high speed production equipment to manage, Ro-Pack, Cloud, Matrix, Bartelt, Viking, automatic cartoners, trouble-shooting mechanical/electrical issues and product changeovers.
2) Assists in managing employees in the production of safe quality foods while demonstrating the adherence of GMP policies, Food Safety and Food Defense Prerequisite Programs.
3) Ensure quality documentation is completed correctly and accurately, to assure customer quality parameters are achieved.
4) Experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
5) Strong mechanical and electrical experience to improve the operations of the facility.
6) Team Player and willingness to work on the production floor as needed.
Qualifications
· Strong Computer skills Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiar with management systems.
· Knowledge and experience with GMP’s, food safety programs (SQF, etc.) and HACCP skills
· Strong Math Skills
· Effective communication skills verbally and written
