MAINTENANCE MECHANIC- ADVANCED / EXPERT LEVEL - URGENTLY HIRING
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure that all Deerpoint Group equipment is maintained to manufacturer specs, while performing preventative maintenance inspections as well as routine service to our truck fleet, trailers, equipment and tools. Other tasks involve constructing and maintaining mechanical equipment and perform light welding duties in our shop and in the field. Must possess superior tech 3 - tech 4 advanced / expert level skills, be able to work independently and efficiently.
Essential Duties:
- Prioritize and perform routine maintenance on all vehicles and equipment
- Ensure that all equipment maintenance follows Deerpoint Group safety standards and practices
- Responsible for follow-up with field technicians regarding care and maintenance of trucks and equipment
- Report any problems or potential problems with equipment to management
- Organize and define three distinct lines of equipment. The lines should include truck fleet, trailer equipment and pump equipment
- Review and inspect the returned equipment on a daily basis
- Ensure that all equipment is tagged with necessary descriptions of problems in a visible area for inspection
- Ensure all work orders are accurate and complete
- Maintain accurate parts and tools inventory
- Maintain a technical library that includes a current Quality Control Binder
- Effectively performs special assignments and projects as requested by leadership
- Manage the inventory of diesel trucks, trailers and transfer pumps. Maintain log sheets of services performed on all company trucks and equipment
- Submit weekly activity report to manager by Friday detailing all tasks, assignments and projects for the past workweek
- Submit a weekly update report to manager by Friday detailing the following week’s tasks, assignments and projects
Skills and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five plus years of mechanical experience in all areas of repair
- Tech Level 3 - Tech Level 4 expertise a must
- Advanced / Expert knowledge of Insite Cummins Software
- ASE certificates preferred
- 609 certificate preferred
- Clean DMV a must
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer processing functions and other standard office equipment
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to read, comprehend reports and regulatory documents and explain clearly and concisely to others
- Must be able to clear background check and hair follicle drug screen test
