Since 1948, Kepner Products Company has specialized in the design and manufacture of industrial valve products. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team to help handle the maintenance of our facility & machinery, structural renovations, and capital improvements. We operate a clean modern CNC machine shop in DuPage County.
Maintenance Mechanic
You will perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment to keep in good running order. Troubleshoot problems and recommend and perform mechanical repairs to minimize downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures of CNC Machines.
- Keep plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair.
- Keep records of inspections and work done
- Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines, and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
- Respond to supervisor or employee maintenance requests.
- Diagnose and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building issues.
- Perform safety checks and routine maintenance on systems and equipment.
- Keep safety systems functional.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Comply with procedures and regulations.
- Train less experienced maintenance staff
- Other jobs as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of CNC Machines
- Must Be able to speak English, Bilingual is a plus
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Served and satisfactorily completed an approved Apprenticeship or Training
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in similar positions
- Capable of working effectively as part of a High-Performance Team
- Ability to problem solve and help with a practical solution.
Physical Demands:
- Climb steps.
- Lift 50 pounds and maintain balance.
- Crawl over, under, and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties.
- Work from ladders and lifts

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
