About the Position: The Maintenance Mechanic Leader (Electrical) is located with the Directorate of Public Works Operations & Maintenance Division at Fort Riley, KS.Qualifications: Who May Apply: US Citizens

However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Mechanic Leader (Electrical) ~ without more than normal supervision. Perform common maintenance and repair work of electrical systems including maintenance work of buildings, structures, grounds, related fixtures and utilities. I can repair or replace switches, motors, belts, and wiring. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Physical Effort
- Requires considerable standing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, walking, crawling, kneeling, climbing.
- Works in tiring and uncomfortable positions below and above ground.
- Frequently handles objects weighing up to 45 pounds and occasionally carries objects weighing 45 pounds or over for considerable distances.
- Work is performed inside and outside during all types of weather conditions.
- Exposure to moving objects or sharp edges with the possibility of cuts and bruises.
- Exposure to excessive noises and intermittent slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Subject to injury from hand or power tools.
- Occasionally may be required to wear protective equipment and clothing.
