We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a vital role in our organization, and we are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections of the building, machinery, and equipment to identify any issues or potential problems

- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, cleaning equipment, and replacing worn-out components

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to effectively diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks

- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using various tools and equipment

- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 3+ Years of proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

- Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques

- Familiar with Conducting lock out tag out procedures

- Able to make replacement parts from metal by cutting, bending, drill, milling, threading, etc.

- Use a caliper, micrometer, and height gauge

- Read a PLC ladder to assist in repairing a machine

- Diagnose electrical issues of different voltages (480VAC, 220VAC, 110VAC, 24VDC)

- Operate a forklift and scissor lift

- Push/Pull/Pickup items weighting up to 60lbs

- Rig parts or equipment with higher weights to move into position safely using a forklift or other lifting devices

- Able to repair/replace lighting, wiring or air hoses on semi-trucks and trailers

- Able to preform minor repairs on Semi trucks and trailers

- Able to use various shop equipment to manufacture new parts or alter old parts for existing equipment.

- Able to weld using Mig, Tig, and stick

- Able to change oil and do minor repairs on forklifts

- Standing, bending, and walking for long persod of time

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
