Role Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance on process and production equipment throughout the production facility. Duties may include but are not limited to trouble-shooting equipment failure, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment and preventative maintenance with the goal of improving facility and process reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide first response to equipment and system issues with production equipment.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Understand normal operation of equipment; attend training as needed.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble industrial components as needed.
- Install and replace various machine parts following proper guidelines and standards.
- Periodically monitor and examine equipment to detect and find irregularities to prevent future malfunctions.
- Work in a safe productive manner to maximize quality, efficiency and availability while minimizing maintenance cost and unscheduled downtime.
- 2 years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
