Summary of Position: This position is required to maintain in good working order all systems on the property at Kenai Landing. This position requires to be a team player with willingness to help Kenai Landing achieve the reputation as a premier destination. The Maintenance Manager must communicate and coordinate effectively with the Facilities Engineer in completion of maintenance duties as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Work closely with the Facilities Engineer.
- Revamp current systems, investigate and implement more efficient method of operation.
- Diagnosis Broiler Systems- learns Preventive Maintenance.
- Troubleshoot basic plumbing- showers, toilets, and sinks, kitchen drains.
- Carpentry- build needed shelving, small remodel work, replace wood work
- Develop work standards for accountability
- Develop preventive maintenance manual.
- Weekly progress reports with accounting for man-hours spent.
- Operate Backhoe and other equipment.
Other Functions:
1. Shop for supplies with best available vendors. Supply pick-up.
2. Consolidation/ ordering of supplies- job organization and planning. Turn in Invoices to General Manager for approval.
3. Work with budget controls.
4. Work on call schedule.
5. Supply basic personal tools, and keep Kenai Landing tool inventory with all Kenai tools tools clearly marked.
6. Keep a clean, neat, secure and organized shop at all times.
7. Adhere to Kenai Landing and Land's End management policies.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Computer skills- Microsoft Office
2. Skills and experience in carpentry.
3. Able to be a team player
4. Ability to anticipate problems and troubleshoot problems area
5. In good physical health
6. Able to work 8 hours a day, and lift at least 50 pounds
7. Deliver joy to our customers every day
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of management or supervisory experience in general maintenance. Self motivated and able to work unsupervised.
