Maintenance Grounds Technician - The Glen at Hiland Meadows - Full Time - Days

Full Time Day 7am - 3pm Maintenance Grounds Technician opportunity!

This maintenance position is located at The Glen at Hiland Meadows, a beautiful senior living community in Queensbury. The community consists of 120 Independent Living apartments and cottages, 42 Assisted Living units, and a 30 bed memory care brand new building. A new wellness center with pool is also under construction. This position will assist in maintaining the overall working condition and appearance of building and grounds of facility while maintaining a safe environment.

Responsible for a variety of work including general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, some carpentry. Answers assigned daily maintenance requests.

This position requires the employee to operate a company vehicle on the campus.

Answers assigned daily maintenance requests consisting of:

• Does assigned preventive maintenance work
• Does construction work when required
• Displays proficiency in the use of hand and some power tools
• Will assist and do any kind of work related to the functions of the Site Maintenance Department if required

• Stays productive between assigned tasks
• Able to work independently and show initiative to accomplish goals of the department and organization
• Keeps work and storage areas neat
• Tools and equipment are kept clean and operable
• Work is completed within a time frame acceptable to the supervisor
• Adheres to established procedures and rules; reports for work regularly and timely
• Operates company vehicle and works at multiple locations

Requirements:

• Valid clean NYS Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED
• Willingness to learn.

Rate Range: $17.25 - 22.54.

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
