Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our outstanding maintenance and repair team! This vital role will work closely with the Director of Engineering and Engineering Leaders to successfully execute all operations relating to this position, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction and associate development. This highly motivated individual will ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional and engaging manner.

Salary for this position: $25.00 - $29.00/hour (based on experience). Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Responsibilities

• • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms, mechanical rooms, restaurants/outlets, kitchens/kitchen equipment and public areas to include but not limited to air handlers, boilers and chillers.
  • Assist with repairs as needed throughout the building that are identified by guests and associates.
  • Clean all work areas after completing job.
  • Fill out Daily Work requests in Synergy.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Assist hotel guests with any guest room maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, electrical, painting, etc)
  • Assist with the cleanliness and mechanical operations of pool, hot tub and pool deck areas.
  • Assist with ice melt around the hotel and ensuring all areas remain safe under inclement weather.
  • Assist with security walks throughout the shift of all areas of the hotel.
  • Perform preventative maintenance responsibilities on all guest rooms as assigned.
  • Work as a team to keep the back of house areas and equipment in safe and acceptable working order.
  • Assist/oversee external contractors in repairs of hotel property and equipment.
  • Completion of all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
  • Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations and attend Omni's OSHA safety classes when requested.
  • Be familiar with all hotel amenities, facilities and operations.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50-100 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

• Painting/finishing tools and equipment, ladder, computers, push to talk radio, hotel locking systems, power hand tools, basic hand tools (ie. hammer, screwdriver, etc.), and any other tool/equipment needed to perform the duties outlined above.

Qualifications

• • Prior building maintenance experience and/or relevant technical training, including kitchen equipment experience.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including covering night shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Must possess painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, minor carpentry, lighting and Microsoft Office computer skills.
