Maintenance Electrician Apprentice

BPG-USA is currently seeking an Maintenance Electrician Apprentice at our Fairfield PA Plant. The Maintenance Electrician Apprentice program offers on-the-job training along with bi-weekly salary (Monday -Friday - 80 hours) while training then will resume a regular 12-hour shift after the completion of training. While in the plant, the Maintenance Electrician Apprentice will also assist Electricians with installation, servicing and troubleshooting production and support equipment.

Preferred Skills:

Printing, Electrical/Electronic Troubleshooting, manufacturing, or industrial experience.

In addition to on-the-job training, candidate:

• Receives work assignments from the Maintenance Team Leader.
• Assist in Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns of production and plant equipment.
• Help shift electricians with preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Follows Maintenance Department Policies and Procedures.
• PERFORMS OTHER FUNCTIONS AS DIRECTED BY THE SUPERVISOR AS REQUIRED BASED ON OPERATIONAL NEEDS.

Candidates should have the required skills as follows:

• Reasoning/Diagnostic abilities
• Mechanically inclined.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Properly use and read analog and digital test equipment.
• Capable of reading relay logic & schematics

Job Specifications

• Must be able to stand for 70% of shift (example: repairing equipment)
• Must be able to walk for 20% of shift (example: walk throughout plant)
• Must be able to sit 10% of shift (example: working on the computer)
• Must be able to reach, bend an crawl

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Electrician Apprentice program enjoys problem solving, working in high pressure, fast paced situations and multi-tasking. A technical background and good math skills preferred.

Candidates must also be able to work independently and responsibly in a variety of Industrial environments including at heights up to 50 feet. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. All safety training will be provided and must be adhered to by all employees.
