Length: temp to hire or direct depending on experience and current work tenure
Hours: 2nd shift 2pm-11:30pm Monday - Friday
Must Haves:
- Must have 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment and possess a Journeyman level certification or experience
- Must pass electrical test to move on to the interview
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Summary:
Maintains electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction and make required repairs.
Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
Troubleshoot and maintain control systems. This includes all electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controls.
Troubleshoot and repair all AC and DC motors and controls, pressure sensing devices, voltage current, and resistance measurement devices.
Troubleshoot and repair plant lighting 480V, 207V and 110V circuits; 480V cranes; PLC based controls and relay logic circuits.
Monitor furnace status and light furnaces.
Trains and oversees electrical projects as directed by supervisory personnel.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications:
Five to seven years related experience and/or training equivalent to a journeyman rating in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of Company.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
