Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrical Specialist will be responsible for ensuring production and facility equipment are operational through effective preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of plant PLC’s and control systems and projects related to these systems. This position will install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of production equipment and machinery.
ShiftSecond Shift: 1:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday (3-month rotation), or as job responsibilities require
Pay$30.97 - $46.44/ hr + $4.00 SHIFT PREMIUM
Essential Functions- Repair production and support equipment
- Diagnose machine errors and how they relate to the electrical and mechanical systems of the machine
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables
- Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, power supplies and electrical drive units
- Perform preventive maintenance of production and support equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of plant PLCs and control systems
- Modify and improve equipment Maintenance of plant facility and utilities
- Capitol project implementation
- Preventative and routine maintenance of building, equipment and grounds (i.e. snow plowing, salting, etc.)
- Ensure that product quality is maintained
- Follow all plant safety guidelines and SOP’s. Identify and report unsafe conditions or procedures in order to ensure plant safety for all employees and visitors
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical college degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience in mechanical repairs including drives, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Experience with industrial PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Experience maintaining repairing HVAC systems
- Knowledge electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Knowledge of building systems and basic utility repairs
- Knowledge of mechanical repairs, drives, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Knowledge of industrial PLC’s and controls
