Here's your opportunity:

This position will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing and troubleshooting all electrical operating systems on machinery and equipment within the plant. Installs and repairs electrical systems and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.Adheres to safety standards.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity. The shift is 1:30-10pm, with a $1.50/hour shift premium.

Here's how you'll contribute:

  • Certified State Indentured Journeyman
    • Analyzes and resolves electrical issues
    • Analyzes, diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves complex problems*
    • Administers MP2 (preventive maintenance) program*
    • Supports new product development at maintenance level
    • Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives
    • Participates in department meetings effectively
    • Certifies department employees*
    • Accountable for department metrics
    • Delegates resources as required
  • Accredited State Apprenticeship Program
    • Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots CNC software*
    • Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots electrical malfunctions*
    • Manages inventory of electrical supplies and contacts vendors*
    • Completes scheduled preventative maintenance (PM)*
    • Builds and installs control panels
    • Drives installation of machinery and equipment
    • Trains department employees*
    • Knowledgeable of required department equipment setups
    • Proficient in applicable computer programs and equipment controls
    • Proficient in all Standard Operating Procedures for department equipment*
    • Advanced knowledge of power and department tools*
    • Proper use of measuring instruments, gauges, and meters*
    • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics*
    • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical processes*
    • Advanced knowledge of A.C./ D.C.*
    • Certified in Lock Out/Tag Out procedures*
    • Follows tool storage protocol
    • Expert electrical knowledge*
    • Manages scrap metal/wood disposal process
    • Knowledge of large compactor operation
    • Knowledge of plant and all department layouts
    • Completes Industrial Lift Certification (as needed)
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics*

Here's why we want you:

  • Two (2) years of vocational or high school supplemented by an accredited journeyman level apprenticeship and ten (10) years of experience in diversified maintenance operations; or equivalent combination of education and training.Must have Certified State Indentured Journeyman designation.
  • Requires knowledge of machining technology, mechanical principles, advanced shop mathematics, job layout and precision measuring procedures, setups, tooling applications, operating methods, welding and machining characteristics of materials. Millwright skills are ideal.
  • A strong background in CNC service/repair and a basic understanding of electrical and electronic service work and equipment are required. FCNC-PLC experience also desirable.
  • Requires knowledge of machining technology, mechanical principles, advanced shop mathematics, job layout and precision measuring procedures, setups, tooling applications, operating methods, welding and machining characteristics of materials. Millwright skills are ideal.
