Why does the job exist?
The position is responsible for providing critical Maintenance and carpentry services for the Pinetree GSD/FMD owned and managed campus in Albuquerque.
How does it get done?
Employees in this role perform a multitude of advanced tasks related to Maintenance and Repair. This position performs complex maintenance tasks related to carpentry and construction including but not limited to: masonry, painting, sand blasting, fencing and concrete installation; constructing, assembling and Repairing structures; repairing/remodeling offices and buildings by repairing roofs, replacing floors stairs and doors; landscaping and groundskeeping; inspecting buildings to make sure they are in working order and are in compliance with building codes; maintain, repair and operate heavy equipment to perform various maintenance tasks. This position also may perform budgetary, procurement and inventory duties.

State of New Mexico Departments and Agencies and State of New Mexico staff, building occupants, customers and the general public.
Ideal Candidate
Experience in general building and grounds maintenance, custodial duties, construction and/or appliance repair.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalent and one (1) year of experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance, custodial duties, construction or appliance repair.

Employment Requirements
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess & maintain a current & valid New Mexico driver's license. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Fast paced indoor and outdoor setting with strict maintenance management schedules. Lifting, pulling, climbing ladders, walking up and down stairways, bending and standing for prolonged periods, must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must interact well with customer agencies, FMD staff, and building professionals.
