Mail Services Supervisor

Job Description

When an operational issue arises for our Mail Services and shipping & receiving team, they will need a supervisor who can act quickly, confidently, and strategically to get it resolved. Our new Mail Services Supervisor should be frazzle-free under pressure and able to set the same tone for staff. A typical day as supervisor of this team is fast-paced. You’ll need the technical skills to support a team when they experience operational setbacks, but more importantly you’ll need the leadership skills to set expectations and priorities, coach and develop staff, and make strategic decisions that benefit your unit, SAIF, and our customers.

Note: On-site employees are required to travel to and from SAIF’s offices in Salem, Oregon on a regular basis at their own expense.

Recommended qualifications:

Experience

• Five or more years of work in mail operations, fast-paced production, or related environment is preferred.
• Ability to quickly assess priorities, problem solve, and make decisions with limited information or direction.
• Ability to respond promptly and calmly to urgent situations. Acts with discretion when working with highly confidential information.
• Three years or more of supervisory or significant leadership experience is preferred, as is prior experience in a workers’ compensation insurance environment.
• Other combinations of skills and experience may be considered.

Pay: $86,254.00 - $101,475.00 per year
