Responsible for incoming mail and distribution. Assists in the operation of mail sorting, electronic weighing, computerized stamping and billing, and electronic reproduction machines.
Job Duties:Assists sorting incoming mail. Assists outgoing US mail including sealing, weighing, posting, and sorting. Assists with metering outgoing mail for collection by the Postal Service by the close of the business day. Assists distributing all mail and inter-office mail. Assists maintaining inventories of office supplies. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
No additional experience required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database software and Spreadsheet software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to correct/adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee may occasionally be exposed to work in wet or humid conditions, work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
