Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Rural Mail Carrier. The Rural Carrier will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to rural areas. The carrier will have to drive the company vehicle and follow a specific route to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. The role requires good organizational skills and the ability to work independently. It is essential for the carrier to provide excellent customer service.
Rural Carrier Responsibilities
- Rural Carrier must report to post no later than 7:30 A.M. EST.
- Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
- Loads packages in delivery sequence in vehicle.
- Delivers packages to customers along a prescribed route.
- Receives and signs for accountable mail.
- Delivers mail and packages to customers along a prescribed route.
- Furnishes routine information concerning postal matters to customer.
- Returns mail collected, undeliverable mail, and submits monies and receipts to post office.
- Prepares appropriate time records.
- Provides for mail security at all times.
- Inspect and maintain company vehicle daily.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must speak, read, and understand English.
- Must be available Monday to Saturday.
- Applicants must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.
- Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow company policies and procedures
- Good communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,100.00 - $3,250.00 per month
