Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Highway Contract Mail Carrier to join our team. As a Highway Contract Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent communication and customer service skills using your personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement monthly. This is a part-time position 20-30 hours weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and organize mail and packages for delivery
- Load and unload mail into vehicle
- Drive designated routes to deliver mail and packages
- Collect outgoing mail from businesses and residences
- Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Follow all safety procedures while operating vehicles and handling mail
Skills:
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 70 pounds)
- Strong organizational skills to sort and prioritize mail efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery of mail and packages
- Ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems
- Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures is a plus
Please note that this position requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must use your own personal vehicle for delivery with mileage reimbursement. Must pass US Government background check.
