MAGTF Operations Center OCP Specialist
Job purpose
Provides unit and individual training for MSC/MEF level Operations Center C2 Systems and processes. Training includes Operational Command Post tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and roles and responsibilties with an emphasis on information and C2 Systems. The MOCTT OCP Specialist is the Subject Matter Expert for Command and Control and primary instructor for C2 courses and training events. The MOCTT OCP Specialist reports to and receives work direction the contract Program Manager and MOCTT Lead.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provides instruction and training on the operations and employment of digital and analog command and control systems and tools that support the integration of maneuver, fires, intelligence, force protection, logistics, command and control, and aviation operations.
- Provides instruction and training to Unit Staff members on Command and Control as a warfighting function, Information Management, employment of C2 Systems, and the roles and responsibilities of Watch Officers, Watch Chiefs, and Watch Standers and all members of the C2 node for Operating Force Units.
- Assists with the maintenance of Master Lesson Files, After Course Management, and Program of Instruction Development.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert, Mentor, and/or Faculty Advisor during training exercise.
- Coordinates with Commands and Staff Sections to tailor and execute a C2 Training Continuum in support of the MAGTF training and exercises.
- Works with MSTP Staff on the functions of the Exercise Control (EXCON)/White Cell operations in support of the Watch Officer/Watch Chief Course and training exercises.
- Assists with Operation Order development during preparation and execution of training exercises.
- Maintains currency with the C2 Systems found at the MSC/MEF level.
- Incorporates new concepts and TTPs in accordance with available resources and doctrine.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described.
- Provides instruction IAW approved POI.

- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proficient in computer applications such as Windows & MS Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills in support of rapidly changing scheduling and staffing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of the Tactical MAGTF Integration Course or equivalent preferred
- Graduate of the Formal School Instructor Course/Basic Instructor Course
- Graduate of the Curriculum Developers Course (preferred)
