Summary
The Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center (MADC) is an NIH-funded research center focused on conducting and supporting Alzheimer's disease and related dementia research. A key aim of the center's research is to work with underrepresented communities to address racial and ethnic disparities in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The center also spans beyond research by promoting state-of-the-art care and wellness for individuals and families affected by dementia and increasing dementia awareness through education and outreach across the state.
The MADC is seeking a full-time Data Entry Specialistto join its Data Management and Statistical Core (Data Core) team. The Data Core functions as the primary integrator between the Center's Cores; data collected from Cores and Center-supported studies pass through Data Core to be cleaned, joined, and disseminated to investigators as well as provide analytical support. The on-site location is at the Michigan Alzheimer's disease Center, 2101 Commonwealth Blvd, Suite A, Ann Arbor, MI, where there is free staff parking. This position is a hybrid position where most duties can be completed remotely, but one to two days physically in the office are required. Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Flexible work schedules are possible.

Responsibilities*
The Data Entry Specialist is under the leadership of the MADC Data Core Leader, Manager, and senior managerial staff. The individual will report directly to the Data Core Manager. We are seeking an experienced, positive, highly motivated, organized, autonomous person with excellent multi-tasking ability and Data Entry skills to work with the Data Core Integrity team and Data Core Manager to accurately and efficiently carry out a range of tasks associated with a variety of research studies. The characteristic duties and responsibilities of this position may evolve over time to match changing needs and priorities.
- Work closely with the Data Core Integrity and Data Core Manager to enter data into REDCap databases
- Review data forms closely and follow up with clinicians and research staff when data is incomplete or inaccurate
- Work closely with the Data Integrity team and Data Core Manager to ensure data quality and compliance with the National Alzheimer?s Coordinating Center (NACC)
- Edit, verify, and submit data to NACC
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures manual, checklists, and improve overall procedures as applicable in accordance with growing Core and Center needs
- Assist with creating research consensus meeting agendas
- Prepare and assemble research participant charts for research consensus meetings
- Digitize, organize, maintain, and file participant charts, ensuring order and completeness of all records
- Participate in regular meetings with Data Core faculty and staff
- Verify and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
- Prepare participant packets for Clinical Core Study Coordinators and Clinicians
- Other relevant tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's of Science in Psychology or other related field
- 1-2 years of experience with Data Entry
- REDCap, Trello, Zoom, Dropbox, and Office 365 proficiency
- Confident and highly motivated with excellent multi-tasking ability and record-keeping skills
- Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner
- Ability to problem-solve and establish timelines and priorities
