RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create tooling, fixtures, gauges, and other manufacturing support items as necessary.
- Pre-set tooling using Zoller preset machine & manual tooling
- Repair or retrofit tooling, fixtures, gauges or other manufacturing support items as necessary.
- Operate manual & CNC capable lathes, mills, and other equipment needed to produce tooling, fixtures, gauges, or other manufacturing support items.
- Use hot work tooling, including grinders, welders, heat treat oven, and other similar tooling.
- Use media blast cabinet to redress tooling items as well as etching equipment to remark cleaned items.
- Maintain 6S standards throughout work area.
- Support Tool Room & Tool Crib activities as directed by supervision.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma required; Toolmaker certification preferred
Internal applicants must meet the following criteria: 1) If the posted position is an hourly or salary level 1, the associate must be in their current position for 18 (eighteen) months; 2) if the position is salary level 2 to salary level 5, the associate must be in their current position for 24 (twenty-four) months; and 3) if the position is a salary level 6 or above, the associate must be in their current position for 30 (thirty) months.
