The Role:
Responsible to manage salaried group leaders in the implementation and execution of the established business process for an area in the production operations and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. Supervise a very large group of salaried employees involved in multiple departments and processes.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will:
- Coach, train, develop and evaluate employees.
- Provide assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems, and assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations
- Constant contact with others outside the work group
- Administers divisional and Corporate policies
- Meets cost, schedule and quality requirements
- Maintains Corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance in addition to maintaining safety and good housekeeping standards
- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Assist in the forecasting of areas of responsibility and establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job or project
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR Business Management or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience working in machining in a manufacturing experience environment in one or more the following:
- Cutting tools Machining experience
- Rotating and prismatic machining experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience in Manufacturing Operations
- Previous experience QDOS or statistical analysis tool experience, DOER
- Previous experience with GMS, TIP
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience having worked in a machining maintenance
- Experience with RedEx, 6 Sigma
