Machine Shop Manager

We are currently hiring for a Machine Shop Manager in our Boise office. This position will achieve the machined part production requirements of the company and develop and refine CNC programs for existing and future machined parts.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Supervise Machinists and their work, and assign duties a necessary, making sure their work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety, quality, production, waste, housekeeping, and cost.
• Ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.
• Work to improve shop organization with regard to tooling, fixtures, job flow, etc.
• Adjust the production schedule to meet changing priorities.
• Work to solve production and other related problems.
• Participate in, and lead, company driven improvement projects, including assisting in site capacity and production improvements.
• Train and mentor direct reports.
• Assist in determining part manufacturing costs.

Qualifications / Training Required

• 5 years of multi-axis CNC programming experience.
• Proven record of technical trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Preferably a degree or certificate in CNC programming.
