Machine Operator- Weigh-Up/Blending

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Perform weigh up and blending for the Solid Dose Manufacturing Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Runs mixers and blenders for all formulas in the department.
• Retags materials after weigh up.
• Cleans area and drains and ensures that there is no standing water at any time.
• Operate, tend, and troubleshoot weighing operation with a wide variety of ingredients.
• Place blended products in storage tanks and place finished-goods in storage containers.
• Assist in the cleaning of related equipment after use.
• Adhere to Quality Assurance requirements
• Performs swab testing.
• Check weight of raw material for formula
• Document information on batch record.
• Adheres to all SOP and TM for the area and machine.

• Mentor employees when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Three years of manufacturing experience preferred. Able to read a scale and perform math calculations required. Basic computer skills, data entry.
• LANGUAGE: Read, write and speak English.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with constant interruptions. Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, and ambulate over uneven floor surfaces including stairs and steps. Must be able to visually review and confirm batch, lot and product information. Must be able to communicate and interact with other employees. Must be able to auditory assess situations to ensure safety. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and be able to work standing for long periods of time.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary manufacturing/production.
