Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. The Machine Operator will collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and uphold safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare machinery for operation by ensuring all necessary materials are available, and machines are calibrated according to specifications.
- Operate assigned machines to produce high-quality products, monitor production processes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet established standards. Identify and address any deviations from specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns. Report any malfunctions or abnormalities to the maintenance team.
- Assist with Lacing the lines.
- Troubleshoot machine errors and faults, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of machine operations, production output, and quality control checks. Complete production logs and reports as required.
- Work closely with team members, including supervisors, technicians, and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals and address any challenges that may arise.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Report any safety concerns promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assist in training new Machine Operators and provide guidance to team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in following operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation interfaces.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift 50 pounds or more and move heavy materials when required.
- Although limited must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- You must be able to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, squatting, and while laying on your stomach or back.
- There will be some contact with liquid paint, solvents, greases and oils.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
