JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Offset Press/Bindery Utility Operator/Machine Operator, who will oversee all phases of the operation and maintenance of the offset press/bindery equipment. Interfaces with supervision and line employees to ensure product is produced efficiently within quality specifications. Has the skill or ability to operate one or more types of printing/bindery machinery and is willing to learn the operation and maintenance of all types of printing/bindery machinery.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate multiple types of printing/bindery machinery (cutters, stitchers, and folders) in an efficient manner in accordance with company standards for large commercial print.
• Responsible for the set-up and follow through on product from start to finish according to specifications listed on job tickets.
• Pulls sheets according to guidelines to check quality and accuracy of work.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machinery as needed.
• Assists in the completion of records, job ticket information as required.
• Maintain level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.
• Assists in training general workers and lower classification regarding operation of the press.
• Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in Offset Press/Bindery Machine Operation preferred. Will train if needed.
• Printing Press Operator experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Requires frequent standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching.
• Ability to perform a volume of mechanical detail work with speed, accuracy and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., carry 50 lbs., push 100 lbs., pull 75 lbs.
• Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
