Full-Time ProtoTrak Machinist - Bridgeport (First Shift)
Our company, based in Sterling Heights, MI, is looking for an experienced, full-time Bridgeport ProtoTrak Machinist. The work schedule for this position includes standard flex days that are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays as needed. However, the Bridgeport ProtoTrak Machinist is expected to dedicate the time required to meet the company’s strategic plan.

$22 hourly
Responsibilities:The individual in this position is responsible for the set-up and operation of manual Bridgeports for the production of components. The Machinist will evaluate the drawings of the parts in order to decide the required tools and machining sequence and confirm that items meet specs by means of documentation.
- Performs all assigned machine shop operations
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
- Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, and tapping tasks
- Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results
- Completes and maintains paperwork for parts
- Other duties may be assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
- 2+ YEARS Proven minimum experience as a Bridgeport/Machinist
- Specific experience desired with ProtoTrak KMY2 Retrofit
- High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school
- Understanding of production procedures
- Physical stamina and strength
- May be required to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
- Understanding of production procedures
