- Operate all palletizers and dunnage conveyor and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Complete adjustments to the machinery to accommodate product changes.
- Perform visual quality control checks and complete quality check sheets.
- Communicate bottle quality and defect issues to appropriate team members and notify when nearing or reaching end of production run.
- Understand operation of downstream equipment and processes.
- Locate and clear jams on the floor and in the overhead conveyor lines.
- Communicate machinery and equipment problems to Shift Lead and Maintenance Personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area in accordance with Company standards/housekeeping requirements and accurately complete the housekeeping check sheets.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
- Covers vacations and other absences according to Kenosha local attendance policy.
- Accepts and performs other duties/changes to position as plant and production needs require.
- Wears and uses appropriate PPE and safety equipment as required to perform job duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing work experience is preferred.
- Possess basic mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Good written and verbal communications skills are required.
- Able to recognize and understand numbers and values, including data entry into database.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates schedule flexibility for coverage for vacations and other absences.
- Must have computer skills and ability to learn Amcor systems – SAP experience is helpful
- Good attention to detail and be able to feel and visually recognize products and quality defects.
- Must be capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret and carry out both simple and complex instructions.
- Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions / judgement calls based on situation at hand.
