We are currently looking for a full-time, Folder Machine Operator to perform manual and Machine Operator tasks in the set-up, production run, and maintenance of a G&K-Vijuk folding machine. Pay is $22.00/hour plus $0.65 shift differential for working 3rd shift.

When your actions lead to success.

• Ability to read and understand the job jacket to set-up the folder job.
• Performs job make-ready by setting up and adjusting feeder, folding plates and delivery.
• Sets up folding machine for special processes (perforating, scoring, slitting/trimming, gluing, softening, etc.)
• Starts machine and runs a few samples through to check for accuracy.
• Visually inspects product and uses measuring instruments to check conformance with job specifications.
• Submits samples to supervisor for final approval.
• Closely observes materials delivered off machine to ensure that it is maintaining quality standards.
• Tags all work completed with description and operator's name.
• Follows specific packing instructions according to the job jacket.
• Must record use of all materials at completion of job or shift.
• Loads and maintains supply of sheets/signatures.
• Completes production records (time sheets, job jackets, etc.)
• Performs preventative maintenance on the folder such as lubrication, adjustments, replacement of small parts, and the cleaning as needed of these items.
• Responsible for maintaining and understanding all tools and instruments necessary to operate and maintain the folder.
• Informs Supervisor as to parts or service required to keep the folder performing at the maximum level.
• Record process codes, counts and use of material in PSI accurately.
• Performs other tasks as requested.

Job Requirements: Ability to read and understand written instructions including those dealing with dimensions and quantity. Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up. Good knowledge of folder operation and set-up practices. Knowledge of the operation and function of the other finishing equipment and machinery. Must be able to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to lift 40lbs unassisted. Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, etc. as needed or required. When your expertise drives us.
