What You'll Do
As a Machine Operator , you'll be part of our team located in New Britain, CT. You'll get to:
- Perform repetitive inspection operations on tape rule blades, component parts, and finished products following standardized procedures
- Operate a variety of machines to perform various tasks by loading product in bowl or hopper
- Perform light benchwork operations such as removing jams and simple inspection
- Feed by hand controls or by auto feed to perform operation
- Remove completed parts to container Gauge and visually check completed work as required
Who You Are

- Basic mechanical ability, machine set-up/operation experience preferred
- Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Ability to perform basic math - add, subtract, multiply whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate
- Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking
- Must be comfortable standing for 8-10 hours and lifting up to 30 lbs independently and up to 70 lbs with assistance.
- Comfortable in an environment with various changing temperatures for portions of the year.
- Ability to work daily and weekly overtime as required.
