Machine Operator
This is temp to permanent position
The individual will operate simple production machine, we will train , but must have some experience working with industrial or manufacturing machines.
Responsibilities include:
● Reads simply engineering instructions
● Positions and secures work-pieces in holding device, machine table,
chuck, centers, or fixtures.
● Moves controls to position tool and work-pieces in relation to each other,
and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
● Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined
work-pieces to specifications. Responsible for routine machine maintenance and maintaining work area in a neat condition.
● Maintains simple reports on work-pieces handled and quantities produced.
● Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
Minimum Requirements:
● High School diploma plus technical school training.
● One year or more related work experience or training, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
● Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure including
whole numbers, fractions, decimals
