Fenn/Swager (Machine Operator - Tech. III)

Deerfield Packaging is looking to employ self-motivated, hardworking individuals to operate theFenn swager machines.

Job Characteristics

• Operate all swager cells including setup and operation of #4 and #5 Fenns
• Proper set up, operation and shut down of induction heating units
• Set up and operation of clip press, bend press and stamp press
• Inspect quality and dimensions of all tools
• Must be able to match tool to print provided on shop packs; position requires precise forging according to tool specifications
• Use calipers and measuring tapes to ensure precision

• Strict attention and adherence to safety guidelines including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adherence to attendance policy

Required Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education/Experience

• 1+ years of related experience with packing machines/production machines

Additionally, workers will be exposed to a large warehouse environment and may experience loud volumes or high/low temperatures, based on current weather. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and may be required to stand for up to 3 hours at a time.

The starting rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
