This opportunity is 100% remote! Candidate MUST reside in the United States.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant work experience enhancing data pipeline infrastructure and building products for advanced analytics, while automating data processes and ensuring quality and comprehensive documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Data Scientist assigned to the project to support model construction, training, and deployment
• Create new data pipelines or improve efficiency in data pipelines needed to support the project
• Package up and deploy new models or updated models to production
• Create the necessary infrastructure to support model training
• Build data pipelines that enable automated data processing and efficient change
• Work with the Data Scientist and Application team to ensure the design if fit for requirement
• Will be focused on Data Engineering needs for Claims IT Enterprise priorities
• Will be part of a standing scrum team.
Required Skills:
• Builds a wide variety of data infrastructure solutions for customer use. Interfaces with traditional RDBMS, NoSQL systems, object stores such as S3, HDFS, or Pub/Sub systems. Data may be in various formats. Systems may be on-premise, in the cloud, external APIs or vendor data.
• Creates solutions while employing performance engineering techniques.
• Creates tools and solutions for data scientists and analysts that want to implement Machine Learning solutions. This includes the orchestration, data pipelines, and infrastructure as code solutions the Data Engineering team builds.
• Executes on opportunities to automate data ingestion, processing and reporting.
• Assists teammates and application teams to integrate data science models into applications (internal and external facing applications).
• Engages in code reviews with other engineers.
• Creates maintainable data engineering solutions through automated testing and documentation.
• Proficient in Snowflake and AWS.
• Familiar with Prefect for orchestration tasks
• Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proficient in Python programming
