Our facility in Cape Canaveral, FL has an immediate opportunity for an

entry level

Items Analyst/Inventory Management Analyst to join our mission. In this role you will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Support Equipment Logistics and Material Planning team by establishing new material records, updating records, and ensuring data integrity within SSP Advanced Inventory and Logistics (SAIL), the US Navy logistics management data system. Additionally, you will provide technical support to all Inventory Managers and various Navy stakeholders. This position will require daily communication with our Navy Partners, Material Planning, Subcontracts, Control Account Managers, and many additional organizations, which will provide opportunities for you to develop creative solutions to complex issues.

What will a typical day in this role involve? In this role you will…


  • Create, update, and maintain material records in SAIL database

  • Interface daily with internal and external customers to resolve problems related to material number, nomenclature, source of supply, and more

  • Provided the SAIL user community with technical support

Basic Qualifications:


  • Work experience, or classroom knowledge of, Inventory Management, Logistics and Supply Chain principles

  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office products

  • Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level

Desired Skills:


  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred

  • Strong communication (both verbal and written)

  • Work or classroom experience with Enterprise Resource Planning tools and/or Supply Management Systems

  • Work or classroom experience with Inventory Management, Information Technology, SQL, and or Python

  • The candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who is able to take ownership of projects with limited supervision

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
