Medical Assistant: Part-Time Position(s) Available

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Primary Care office in capacity of front desk staff and clinical back staff
- Demonstrates a pleasant and friendly demeanor at all times, willingness to help other staff members with various tasks, team-player
- Accurately documents chief complaint and results from in-house testing procedures
- Assess patient vital signs and accurately document in patient’s record using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system. (*eClinicalWorks knowledge preferred)
- Prioritizes work responsibilities on a daily basis, decreasing waiting time and ensuring proper patient flow. Works as a team-player with other staff and providers.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task whenever and wherever needed, including front desk responsibilities.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Schedule exams, procedures, and lab work as needed.
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work environment and be able to perform cleaning duties as needed.
- Stock supplies in exam rooms and facility noting any supplies needing to be ordered at the end of each work shift.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills at ALL times with all visitors, vendors, patients, families, and co-workers.
- Ability to remain professional in difficult and/or stressful situations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adheres to all Universal Precautions, Blood Borne pathogens standard and/or biohazardous material policies and will submit to training as required.
- Maintain OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and will submit to training as required.
- Perform testing such as: EKG, Urinalysis, Rapid Strep, Mono and Flu, Urine Toxicology screening, Spirometry and Nebulizer treatments and other in-house testing, as required.
- Communicates in a friendly and professional manner at all times. Accurately takes phone messages and effectively provides information to the clinical staff.
- Requires alternating Saturday shifts 9am-12-12:30 pm
REQUIREMENTS:
Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school
EMR (Electronic Medical Record) knowledge, preferably eClinicalWorks
Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory
Friendly, outgoing, team player a MUST*
Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
