Job description

HaystackID M365 & Advisory Consultant is an experienced M365 subject matter expert with a strong background in electronic discovery and a specialization in Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Premium. The M365 & Advisory Consultant plays a crucial role in leveraging M365 tools for efficient data search, culling, and filtering, ensuring the seamless export of relevant information. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, this role requires a professional with over 5 years of experience in Discovery Consulting, substantial expertise in M365, and a deep understanding of Microsoft Purview. The M365 & Advisory Consultant provides high level support and strategic advice to HaystackID clients, specializing primarily in supporting M365 consulting engagements, and will also be asked to provide support and expertise around other advisory applications. HaystackID M365 & Advisory Consultants are Subject Matter Experts with a profound understanding of complex data management and respective workflow methodologies. The M365 & Advisory Consultant supports clients by implementing documented best practices and workflows, while also leveraging resources to create solutions that enhance the client experience. The M365 & Advisory Consultant primarily builds the documentation for M365 procedures, protocols, workflows, reports, etc., but may also be asked to participate in multi-disciplinary teams that handle other complex information governance and data management processes and technologies. M365 & Advisory Consultants contribute to business development efforts by attending scoping efforts for potential projects, most often in a consultative role. Our M365 & Advisory Consultants provide insight into where our clients can apply M365 and other advisory technologies, collaborating with our Sales team to deliver more focused solutions and additional documentation.

TIER I RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough assessments of client requirements and collaborate with clients to understand their electronic discovery needs and objectives.
  • Utilize M365 tools, with a focus on Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Premium, to search, cull, and filter data effectively.
  • Learn new advisory applications, as required, such as GRC and Enterprise Risk Management tools.
  • Design and implement strategies for optimizing the discovery process within M365.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices related to electronic discovery within the M365 environment.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of discovery solutions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Perform data searches and analysis using Microsoft Purview for accurate discovery results.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with discovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and address technical issues related to M365 discovery processes.
  • Advise, create, deploy, and manage M365 application workflows for both internal and external clients.
  • Provide client and internal support for non-core applications.
  • Consistently deliver proactive communications with clients and when client issues arise, address issues, expedite requests, and/or escalate.
  • Ensures project requirements are being met with the highest quality and accuracy through adherence to project plans, verification, reporting, and communicating routinely with both internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to creation and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOP) and services for all applications and workflows.
  • Collaborate with other technology departments at HaystackID to resolve technical problems that may arise and engage development teams on enhancing M365 and other advisory applications.
  • Actively participate in evaluation of M365 solutions.
  • Assists with preparation of budgets and project plans for M365 application services.
  • Assist in sales and marketing of M365 application services including participation in client RFI/RFP processes.
  • Assists preparing department manuals, documentation, and instruction materials for training personnel.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal and external training for M365 applications.
  • Work closely with other members of the advisory, forensics, data operations, review and cyber divisions.
  • Develop, create and rollout custom reporting solutions.

COMMON TASKS

  • Perform data searches and analysis using Microsoft Purview for accurate discovery results.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with discovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and address technical issues related to M365 discovery processes.
  • Consult with clients on requirements and workflows for non-core applications (i.e. redactions, voice transcription, non-English language translation, etc.)
  • Perform validation protocols for all non-core application projects.
  • Create and maintain all non-core application documentation, including implementation, integration, infrastructure, workflows, and all other services.
  • Provide metrics reporting surrounding non-core applications.
  • Engage on issues relating to non-core applications.
  • Provide non-core application workflow training sessions to both internal and external clients.
  • Perform project administrative tasks including analyzing project audits, maintaining billing numbers, and validating month-end project billable services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 5+ years of M365 Consulting experience
  • 5+ years of Discovery/Discovery Consulting experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with data management and electronic discovery applications.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in utilizing data management and electronic discovery platforms including the ability to explain the benefits and workflows of example technologies.
  • Proficient in different technological set-ups including complex workflows, technology understanding, etc.
  • Outstanding presentation, written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence diverse groups of senior professionals.
  • Exceptional analytical, issue-spotting, and problem-solving skills – demonstrated capability to quickly analyze complex factual situations, evaluate key risk issues and make decisions.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, balancing multiple client projects and other responsibilities under time sensitive deadlines and other business pressures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and planning complex workflows and ability to effectively delegate workload and communicate instructions.
  • Expertise in PowerPoint to create impactful presentations.
  • Work beyond regular business hours will be required.
  • Ability to work independently from home and in collaborative Teams/Zoom environments.

  • Certifications in data management and electronic discovery applications
