Responsibilities:

• Chart nurses’ notes and care plans in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident as well as the resident’s response to the care.
• Medication administration passes are completed and documented timely, accurately, and in accordance with established policies.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
• Obtain and carry out Physicians’ orders.
• Pass medications to residents at the correct time and in the correct dose, as ordered by physicians.
• Continually assess residents for changes-of-conditions.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise CNAs.

Documents required:

• Must be actively licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a Vocational Nurse
• CPR or BLS Certification,
• Physical Test and a TB Test (taken within one year)
• Driver's License or State ID
• 6 months experience working as a LPN/LVN
