Our multi-channel engagement platform locates those that traditional bricks and mortar systems are unable to adequately reach despite their disproportionate and avoidable use of healthcare resources. Our team of Community Health Navigators and Licensed Vocational Nurses in-the-home are linked to MedZed primary care clinicians and other professionals using a telehealth platform.

We are seeking an exceptional LVN Trainer to join our Nursing team. This position has a dual reporting structure to LVN Supervisor as well as to the VP of Quality & Compliance.


Job Description:

The LVN Trainer supports our management team who oversee the work provided by our direct LVN team who serve our members in the community each and every day. Our LVN Trainer is the first individual a new employee will meet during onboarding. This individual will guide all new hires through both the MedZed systems utilized to provide effective member care and the skills required to connect with, care for and help graduate the members served on their journey to leading healthier lives.

The successful candidate has experience with and is comfortable with teaching both remotely and in-person to enhance the skills of our LVN teams in the community who serve our members on a daily basis. In addition, the candidate possesses strong interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to build and maintain team relationships and work on a multidisciplinary management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall quality of care through training materials and hands on-techniques.
  • Provide education and training in collaboration with our team managers daily.
  • Provide in-person training in California State to enhance the care our MedZed teams provide.
  • Driving to one of our California markets; Butte, Fresno, San Diego for in-person training will require travel at least 1 week per month as needed for bi-weekly New Hire's coming aboard Medzed.
  • Review and provide cultural and linguistically appropriate feedback to enhance the skills of our LVN teams.
  • Assist with creating and updating MedZed quality and compliance policies and procedures as needed.
  • Meet with stakeholders to review solutions and issues and to gain commitment on recommendations that result in positive outcomes for both staff and the members we serve.
  • Be an active participant in daily management meetings where business and operational priorities are reviewed.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • GED/High School
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant teaching and/or training experience
  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in use of PC-based software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with strong typing skills required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and fluid work environment.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to quickly analyze situations.
  • Ability to travel to CA Markets to train LVN staff as needed.
  • Able to operate small office equipment, including photocopier, telephone and personal computer.
  • Multilingual capability preferred, but not required.
  • Valid CA Driver's License
