We are looking to hire Medical Assistants or LVNs to join our nursing department!
We are looking for someone with astrong work ethic, flexibility, fast paced and trainability. Prior experience or knowledge would be a plus, but is not a requirement. We prefer to have someone who is willing to learn and is able to be trained.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform medical assistance to physician or physician assistant.
- Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms.
- Client care to include: vital signs, i.e., weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart.
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by the physician or physician assistant.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
- Entering medication from pharmacy into EMR.
- Supervising the clients’ self-administration of medications.
- Assist nursing staff in observation of clients undergoing detoxification.
- All other duties as assigned by supervising staff.
Qualifications:
- Must have current certification as either a Medical Assistant, Medical Technician, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or other comparable certification.
- Must maintain credentials and be currently certified to work in the state of California.
- Preferred knowledge in the field of substance use disorders and/or mental health.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Work is performed with extensive client contact and frequent interruptions. Must be able to handle multiple priorities, to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as be flexible and dependable.
